My approach: I utilize EMDR therapy along with internal family systems therapy an effective approach in treating trauma-related conditions. Healing is possible, and you deserve the support to get there.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy an effective treatment for birth trauma and childhood trauma. EMDR therapy helps to reduce flashbacks, triggers, and emotional intensity related to past painful memories. EMDR provides relief and build resilience in an supportive therapeutic environment.

  • EMDR is effective for treating various types of trauma, including birth trauma, childhood trauma, and other significant emotional events. It’s also used to treat anxiety, PTSD, and other conditions related to past traumatic experiences.

  • The number of sessions needed varies depending on the individual and the complexity of the trauma being addressed. Some people experience significant relief after a few sessions, while others may require more time to process multiple traumatic events.

  • During an EMDR session, you’ll be asked to recall a traumatic memory while focusing on a form of bilateral stimulation, such as following the therapist’s finger movements with your eyes. The therapist will guide you through the process, helping you reprocess the memory in a way that reduces its emotional impact. You may experience a range of emotions, but your therapist will be there to support you every step of the way.
